I just switched over to HostPapa and wanted to move a domain over. I just tried and noticed I could not unless I have DNS servers already pointing to HostPapa.

Hint: This feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it. Addon Domains will not be functional unless the domain name is registered with a valid registrar and configured to point to our DNS servers.

So... I can't start setting up e-mail addresses and all that unless I have the DNS already pointing?! Are you kidding!? I want the transition to be seamless! I don't want to wait until the server goes down to start setting up the database and the e-mail addresses.

Unfortunately, I think I might have to cancel just because of this reason.

Anyone have a workaround?

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 66.29.***.***,66.29.***.*** Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ip.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

That's the error I get. IP address have been changed.

If you have already updated the name servers to point to us, that error just means propagation hasn't completed yet. Once it completes you will be able to set up the addon domains and then set up email.

Same issue here. I don't think this is a propagation error as the name resolves to the correct IP at HostPaPa. Also in my case when the domain name is typed in, it points to the HostPapa web server, it just displays an error that the domain isn't setup properly. I believe this has to do with my DNS being hosted by another provider. In my case it's DynDNS.

I have launched a support case, so we'll see what happens!

Propagation can take up to 48 hours. This is not controlled by hostpapa.
