Hi guys!
I am trying to install Joomla.
What i have done:
went to MySQL, created a new database, username and assigned that username to the database
copied an installation package to public_html folder via FTP
now when i access my domain name (
www.mydomainnameexample.com) i get the installation steps just fine.
I get to the point where i have to provide MySQL hostname, username, password and database
i fill all the information with my hostname (
www.mydomainnameexample.com), MySQL database name , username and password
after proceeding it tells me
"Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"
I am pretty darn sure i have the right information
i've setup Joomla using this method on other hosting providers with no probs.
What am i doing wrong:)
