Hi, I'm new to Hostpapa and need your help guys. This is my case:

While trying to install Joomla through Fantastico I receive the following error message:

"You chose to install Joomla in the main directory of the domain xxxx.ca but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we cannot proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain xxxx.ca (path=”/home/xxxx040/public_html). You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation."

My questions are: Wouldn't I lose the files that I am being told to erase? Second, how do I do that if I had to? And third, which I'd prefer most, Is it possible to install Joomla without removing any existing file/filename at all?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hello

You may simply move the files/folders to another folder or download to your computer via FTP or via cPanel/Files/File Manager

Once done you should be able to install Joomla

Hope this helps

Thank you
