hi Kent,

There's experts out there that will probably have a better answer than me (so for you experts - feel free to comment), but basically these are words that we/or other companies don't want affiliates bidding on in search engines (like google) to get a high ranking when someone searches for that term.

For example, we prefer affiliates not to use 'HostPapa" as that’s our trademark and we may be bidding on it ourselves.
No point in having to compete with affiliates who are bidding on it as well - it doesn't help anyone to do so.

However we encourage you to be creative and use the variety of terms out there to do with web hosting.
Terms/keywords such as "web hosting, best web hosting, websitehosting" etc
are good to try.
But if you think you have a good campaign idea and want to use Host Papa - let me know privately and maybe we can work something out.

We want to give you as much resources as possible for you to make sales.

Also, there's lots of sites out there that have descriptions of terms, one i've used in the past is: http://www.marketingterms.com/dictionary/

if you have any more questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Tim Michael
