I have a joomla site which is on another hosting.
I have moved my hosting to HP and now want to transfer my site contents.
I have created my joomla basic site on HP and now want to backup my old site and transfer it here.
Can anyone let me know how to do this?
I understand I will have to back up the site content and the database, But I don't know the backup settings and as I did not put up my original site I don't know how.
My old hosting is 3Essentials.

Hi,

I think this should help:

http://docs.joomla.org/Copying_a_Joomla_website

On the other hand, I'll try to write a simpler version sometime next week.

In the mean time you can also try JoomlaCloner . It is commercially available with free demo at:
