Can I transfer existing domain names to HostPapa?

Absolutely. To transfer an existing domain name just use the transfer option when placing your order through the on-line order form.

You really have two options when "transferring" your existing domain name to Hostpapa.

1) Hosting with Hostpapa but registered at another Domain Registrar.

No problem. You can host at Hostpapa and have your domain registered with someone else. All you need to do is go to your domain registrar account and change your Domain Name Servers (DNS) to point to Hostpapa. If you need help with this process, check out our walkthrough videos at http://www.hostpapa.com/videos.shtml. A number of the major domain registrars are available in a video format on how-to change your DNS information.

2) Transfer your domain and Hosting to Hostpapa

Again, no problem. After you signup with Hostpapa you can transfer your domain to us.

In order to initiate a transfer of your domain name from another registrar to HostPapa, you must do the following.

1. Obtain an authorization code from your current registrar
2. Unlock the domain at your current registrar
3. Send an email to support@hostpapa.com with the following information:
- your intention to transfer to the domain to HostPapa
- the domain name you wish to transfer
- the authorization code from your current registrar

Note that the admin contact for the domain name must confirm the transfer by replying to the transfer authorization email. This email will come from eNom Canada on HostPapa's behalf.
