Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has transferred any sites from the UK hosting company Namesco? The reason I ask is that I'm pretty sure that I need to alter the DNS settings so that my website points to the Host Papa servers. I've already changed the Primary and Secondary nameservers to ns1.hostpapa.com and ns2.hostpapa.com but when I try to add my site using Cpanel I'm still being told that my site is pointing to the wrong servers.

The error message is: Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 8*.***.***.68,85.***.***.62,85.***.***.69 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

The only other DNS settings I can see is the A and CNAME settings which read lb1.namesco.net for ftp, pop3 and www. I'm sure I have to change these but as a novice I'm not sure what the Host Papa settings are - or are they simply the ns1 and ns2 settings above?

The only other thing I can think of is that the propagation is still completing as it has only been two days since I requested the transfer and changed the primary and secondary servers.

Any help would be appreciated.

PS Maybe you guys at Host Papa could add a tutorial for people transferring from Namesco?

Hi,

I managed to resolve the issue by contacting the Host Papa transfer team and they did everything for me. I think I was still in the 48 hours transfer zone when the settings were still in the process of being transferred from Namesco to Host Papa.

If you still have any issues contact the Host Papa Suuport team - these guys are fantastic and will talk you through any issues you have.
