Transferring from previous host
Hi, I just signed up with Host Papa and I am excited to be with a new host that offers so much with their accounts.
I have received my Login information email with all of my info, but did not receive the phone call from Customer Service that I was expecting before receiving this email, so here is the question I wanted to ask:
I have three exisiting websites that I will be moving to my new Host Papa account. The main account that I signed up with will likely be the last one that I will be ready to move. If I don't change my Name Server to the Host Papa servers immediatley, will this effect the domain on its exisiting server?
Also, I will be using the addon domains to move the other sites to Host Papa. If I have all of the files for the addon domain with Host Papa and change its Name Server to Host Papa, will the fact that the main account is not pointing to Host Papa cause the addon domain to not be found?
Thanks!

Re: Transferring from previous host
Hi there,
That's right, yes. Your best bet is to make sure your main domain has its dns settings all resolved to the HostPapa servers, and then switch the other domains over. You can certainly upload all the files you like, for all the domains, without changing the dns settings at all, but as long as the domains themselves are still pointing elsewhere, the internet itself won't know you've performed any actions on your HostPapa account.
I hope that helps!

Re: Transferring from previous host
Thanks Darryl,
I had already decided to just move everything over to the hostpapa servers. All domains now resolved to hostpapa servers and working fine!
