This is post is FYI:

If everything is down, the only available help in knowledge base is that you have had 5 failed login attempts. That is NOT the only way you can ban yourself from using your own server.

What doesn't seem to be written anywhere is the maximum amount of FTP users allowed on your server. I was uploading using FileZilla with 6 simultaneous transfers and that brought me down.

In your cpanel's FTP Accounts, under Configure FTP Accounts, you can get instructions on setting up FileZilla there, but there's no video tutorial at the main site (http://www.hostpapasupport.com/tutorials/Tutorials_FTP.shtml)

While your server is 'protecting itself' you need to protect yourself from that. Use no more that 2-3 simultaneuos transfers and set re-tries to zero. Added note: If you have other FTP clients, hope no more that 5 at one time logs in. The 6th guy will bring everything down for an hour.

I would like to suggest to Hostpapa to allow at least 20-25 simultaneous users. I understand their reasons for this limit, but most hosts allow 50 and I thought 20-25 might be a good compromise. Taking everything down for what appears as small legitimate use seems extreme.

Host papa is not up to speed with technology.

We have recently changed to Host Papa having been attracted by the sales spin, but the reality is when using FileZilla any more than eight connections and the server upload trips out.

So hopefully this forum is moderated by Host Papa staff - so question:

What is Host Papa going to do with this issue?

As business users we have put on hold any further transfer of Domains until this issue is resolved
