i received the email with login info, but it says:

Your domain will take 24-48 hours to propagate in the Internet servers. HostPapa has no control over this process as it basically just takes time for the servers to be setup on the main Internet servers. You can access your control panel temporarily while this is happening by using the following URL:

http://.../cpanel
Username: ********
Password: ********

i don't think it really means "http://.../cpanel" and betterthanapigeon.com/cpanel takes me over to startlogic (since that is where the domain is right now)

where can i access my site while i wait? i have gone into startlogic and removed my domain from that account, so i guess the domain itself is kinda in limbo right now. i would like to log in to my account here and ftp my files so it is ready to go as soon as the domain transfers.

thanks for any help!

thanks, i received the email. do i need to do anything else with my domain to release it to hostpapa? i went into my control panel for startlogic yesterday and 'removed' the domain there, and it says it is no longer hosted there in that control panel, even though a whois still shows them listed. i know it takes a few days for that to update, but i wanted to make sure there isn't anything else i need to do on my end.

the domain is betterthanapigeon.com (that is the primary domain, i also plan on moving film-speak.org with it, both have been removed from startlogic)

also, i am not able to see the files i have uploaded to my public_html folder when i browse to http://69.42.58.70/. for example, i have a file called layout.html and it says it is not found when i browse to http://69.42.58.70/layout.html

thanks!

so there is no way to browse my site until the domain is transferred?

the domain was with startlogic, i removed it from them via their control panel, but i don't know what will happen next. i don't know how to change the names servers since startlogic was the register. i put a ticket into them, but i am not sure they will help me.
