Domain transfer--I wasn't asked for an EPP key on signing with HP
Hi,
I'm with 1and1.co.uk but I'm moving to HP. I've got my HP account and I'm in the process of uploading my website files.
Reading through HP info I've just come across this:
If your domain ends with .com, .net or .org, your current registrar likely has your domain in a locked status. This means that your domain cannot be transferred until it is unlocked. In addition, domains with these extensions require an EPP key, also known as a Transfer Authorization Code. Without this, you will not be able to complete the transfer.
[snip]
When you ask HostPapa to transfer your domain name, you will be asked to confirm that your domain is eligible for transfer. You will also be asked to provide your EPP key. The EPP key will be used by you again later when you verify the transfer.
I did say on signing up that I wished to transfer my domain name to HP, but I wasn't asked for an EPP key and now I'm worrying that something has gone wrong/it isn't going to happen. (My existing domain does end in .com.) Is there anything I need to do? Does it sound as though something has gone wrong? Reading around on here I saw an answer to somebody else that suggested to me that perhaps my existing domain should appear in my Control Panel as a Parked Domain, but there's nothing there. I don't know whether this is because there's been some mistake, or because I only signed up earlier this afternoon.
Please help if possible. Thanks!

Thanks, rickmeister!
I've worked out how to do it now, I think. I'm going to transfer the domain as well (unless peeps tell me that isn't a good idea), but now that I've got the DNS re-direction going I think I'll wait until it's finished, in case my existing web-hosters (who are also the registrars) attempt to make things difficult.
Paranoid? Me?? Nooooo.... *g*
