I used Fantastico to install Wordpress 2.7.1 to the public_html (base folder). I am able to configure WordPress via the Dashboard on my domain(http://blueblooder.com/wp-admin/), but my domain does not seem to work beyond the hosted WordPress configuration page.

Typing www.blueblooder.com redirects to blueblooder.com and then renders the default Host Papa index.html: "Welcome to HostPapa server! This is default index.html page."

When I delete the index.html it returns from the dead and continues to haunt my site. On the WordPress Dashboard the WordPress address (URL) is set to http://blueblooder.com and the Blog Address (URL) is set to http://blueblooder.com.

My guess is that this is me not having configured something correctly, although I assumed Fantastico would do my dirty work for me. My account is brand new and involves a domain transfer, although since I am able to install and configure WordPress on my domain I assume my domain is up and running?

If this is not the case, forgive me if I have to wait a little longer for my domain to transfer, I'm very eager to start fiddling with my domain!

Thanks for your help!

Hello

You must delete the default index.html page before you start uploading or installing a script on your website otherwise you will see the default HostPapa logo page.

Go to the cPanel click on the File Manager, Click on Web Root > Then Click Go, Locate the file called index.html, Then proceed with uploading/installing your website.

Just as an FYI to all, you don't have to use index.html (or php) as the 'default' file name. You can go into the .htaccess file and add the following to change the default file:

DirectoryIndex whatever_you_like.html (or php).
