Hello everyone.
Has anyone successfully installed an SSL sertificate on their site yet?
If so, please tell me how you got it to work, or who you dealt with that got it working.
I generated the key and the CSR no problem, used them to get my cert. , installed it via cPanel, clicked "Do it" - and it did nothing.
Then I found out Hostpapa's techs have to do the install from their end (so why is the option enabled in cPanel?).  Well they've had almost a week to get it installed and it's still not working, and they didn't reply to my last follow-up e-mail about it.  I've only got another week before the 30-day refund period is up so I'd like to find out if the SSL is going to work before then so I can move to another host if necessary.

Thanks

Problem solved.

I just contacted online support and Mike fixed it in a matter of minutes.
It seems the ticket was assigned to the wrong level of support, and the tech(s) at that level couldn't handle it.  So just to let everyone know, Hostpapa does in fact have good techs, but it's possible for the ticket to be assigned to the wrong one.  (I don't know why they didn't elevate it when they got stuck!)

Moral of the story: a little communication goes a long way!

Customers: if you're not getting the support you need, contact them to resolve it.
Hostpapa techs: if you can't resolve a problem quickly, ask for help; and if it's going to be a while, let the customer know (and answer their e-mails!).

If you are going to install an SSL certificate on your site, read "How to install an SSL certificate on Hostpapa" in the General section to find out how.

Cheers,
